French Polynesia Master

Built of steel, the French Polynesia Master is the newest liveaboard to ply the waters of this island archipelago, welcoming aboard 25 guests for 7 or 10 night dive safaris. The 4 decks provide ample space for relaxation and dive equipment and camera preparation. And the experienced crew ensure you receive only the highest quality service on your diving vacation.

Our diving itineraries take you through the Tuamotu Island chain, from Rangiroa to Fakarava, with a choice of 7 or 10 night safaris between these two hot spots, as well as a Fakarava-Fakarava 7-night loop which maximises the time spent in this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Important Information about diving French Polynesia:
This itinerary involves some long distance travel and whilst we attempt to ensure the number of dives we have scheduled is fulfilled, bad weather can hinder the boat’s ability to reach a specified dive site in good time. Many islands require the yacht to move within the atoll for safe overnight anchorage. Your cruise director and Captain will therefore plan the best route for entry to the atolls and to hit the channel currents at the optimum time for diving. We wish to show you the very best diving possible yet the safety of all on board remains paramount. In the unlikely event we are unable to reach a specified dive site; we always do our best in offering diving at alternative locations.

Diving in French Polynesia can be challenging, even for the experienced diver. At many sites currents can be strong and whilst visibility is typically 20m+ it may diminish due to an influx of nutrients. Due to the strength of currents, diving at night is not always an option. We will offer 4 day dives, yet the 4th day dive may be substituted for a night dive where suitable.

Indo Aggressor

The INDO AGGRESSOR™ offers various Komodo diving itineraries to 4 different areas. The most well known, Komodo National Park Indonesia was established in 1980 and was declared a World Heritage Site and a Man and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1986. The park was initially established to conserve the unique Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis). Since then conservation goals have expanded to protecting its entire biodiversity, both marine and terrestrial. The Komodo National Park encompasses 1,817 square kilometers of spectacular land and marine wilderness, including the islands of Komodo, Rinca, Padar, and Gili Montagne and their surrounding waters. The signature land attraction on your INDO AGGRESSOR™ LiveAboard scuba diving trip in Komodo will be an encounter with the world’s largest lizard - the flesh eating Komodo Dragon.

The INDO AGGRESSOR™ is a traditional Phinisi boat that travels as a motorized yacht and has sails. The sails are still maintained for Komodo diving and other activities but only if offshore and weather permitting due to all the travel close to the islands.

The INDO AGGRESSOR™ offers itineraries to 4 different areas:

The 7, 10 and 11 night liveaboard Komodo cruises feature enhanced vacation itineraries that allows guests more time diving and more time in the signature areas. Following are the different itineraries offered on the INDO AGGRESSOR™:

     - Komodo Deep South (7 nights)
     - Bali, Tulamben, East Sumbawa & Komodo National Park (11 nights)
     - Komodo National Park (10 nights)
-Forgotten Islands (10 nights) View Itinerary

Many of our guests are avid photographers who like nothing more than hunting out weird and wonderful critters on the reef and sand. As part of the expanded Komodo diving itinerary we have added two locations to the west of the Komodo National Park on our liveaboard – Sangeang Indonesia, an island volcano to the north of East Sumbawa and Bima Bay Indonesia, an inlet that meanders down to Bima town on Sumbawa. There are two specific sites in both of these areas that are producing a dazzling array of rare creepy crawlies on a regular basis – “Estuary” on Sangeang and “Fuzzy Bottom” at the entrance to Bima Bay.

Please Note: The Indo Aggressor requires that every diver carry a Surface Marker Buoy or SMB, also known as a safety sausage, signal tube, or surface marker on every dive to comply with dive safety standards. An SMB is an important safety accessary for every diver regardless of where you are scuba diving.

You’ve chosen a liveaboard diving vacation for the freedom of diving that it offers. While in the water, you and your buddy are in charge. Every dive starts with a dive briefing from the yacht staff. However, as a certified diver, you and your buddy are responsible for planning and conducting your own dives within the limitations set forth by the briefing. The yacht staff will be on the dive deck providing surface support for divers. We will also have staff in the water offering support, u/w photography and videography, and critter spotting services as well. On some dive sites a staff member will offer to lead a group and assist them in locating specific points of interest. However they do not offer direct supervision of dives. If you start out with a group, as long as you and your buddy remain in contact with each other and are ok –you may follow your own dive plan. Divers who desire more personal attention and structured/supervised dives should consider taking one of the numerous specialty courses. An underlying skill featured in all of specialty training is planning, executing, and debriefing after your dive in order to build a more confident diver.

Diving

The waters of the Galapagos Islands are a unique mixture of warm and cold water, ranging between 65°F and 85°F, with thermoclines about 65°F. We recommend you bring a 5mm-7mm wet suit with hood and gloves or a dry suit with light underwear all year round. The cruises to some of the islands can be rough and we recommend you take precautions against motion sickness. The diving in Galapagos can be strenuous, due to its currents and surge, varying water temperatures, limited visibility, and diving from dinghies. The trip is recommended for intermediate and advanced divers.

The primary attraction in Galapagos is the large pelagics such as schooling Hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, Silky Sharks, Bullhead Sharks, Reef Sharks, Mola Molas and Whale sharks. Occasionally, there is sighting of Whales, Marlin, Dolphin and Orcas. You will see a rare combination of warm and cold-water creatures including Sea Lions, Mantas, Penguins, Flightless Cormorants, Sting Rays, Eagle Rays, Turtles, Moray Eels, Sea Horses, Marine iguanas and enormous schools of unusual fish. Many of the marine creatures are found nowhere else on earth!

The best diving around the Galapagos Islands is made possible through the use of dinghies (or inflatable’s) manned by our crew members. Few dives are directly from the main vessel itself. Dinghy diving is made easy for you! Once your dive is completed, you hand your weight belt to the dinghy driver, take off your BCD and climb in.

Between dives, you may snorkel, explore secluded beaches, or just relax with a cold drink and mid-morning snack. Guests may do up to 4-5 dives per day and there is a night dive on 3 nights of the charter, depending on present conditions.

Lifelines are recommended and are available for rent on board the Rock Islands Aggressor for just $25 per unit per week. Dive alerts and safety sausages are required and are available for use at no charge. The Rock Islands Aggressor does not currently visit Jellyfish Lake. These trips may continue when the troubled population of the lake has had time to rejuvenate.

Nautilus Explorer

The lower deck has 8 comfy staterooms and are approx. 90 square feet with central air conditioning. Six of the staterooms have side by side beds. Two of the staterooms have large full beds and additional storage area.

Upper deck

Upper deck - Premium
One large premium suite is available on the upper deck and is twice the size of the other suites. It has a separate bedroom and lounge, each with a large flat screen TV, ensuite with full size bathtub and shower.

Built for safety
Safety at sea is a very serious business. The ocean can be capricious and unforgiving. The Nautilus owners hold themselves to the highest standards and you should expect and demand no less. They operate stabilized ocean going steel ships – not yachts or converted crew boats – built in Canadian and USA shipyards to commercial standards with ABS scantlings. The Captains, mates and engineers have professional commercial mariner qualifications and all of the crew have STCW emergency duty training, security awareness, first aid and marine medicals. Nautilus ships have the same safety certificates as the largest ocean going cruise ships including PSSC, ISM, GMDSS and ISPS certificates under external audit by a classification society.

Ocean Hunter III sails the reefs of Palau, plus special trips to places such as Yap. As with all Ocean Hunter boats, you also have the knowledge and hospitality of a very experienced local crew.

Ocean Hunter III has 3 standard cabins, 3 deluxe cabins and 2 master staterooms all with private bath and a/c, and accommodates up to 16 guests with personal attention and plenty of space. She cooked on the first Palau liveaboard for more than a year and went out on the Ocean Hunter for the first six months in Palau, closely analyzing the tastes of hungry divers after exiting the water and learning to cater to their every taste whim. As a dedicated diver herself who knows the importance of low-fat, fiber rich meals, Tova designed the menu with international cuisines such as Palauan, Italian, Mediterranean, French and Japanese (with fresh sashimi and sushi), and with a bit of her own style as well. She has worked extensively with the now cook, Arlee.

Ocean Hunter III will be travelling to all the usual spots and more!  Not only will you be diving all the world-famous spots of Palau such as the fabled Blue Corner, she'll take you further afield too. At the moment trips are planned to the Southwest Islands of Palau / Northern Papua New Guinea, Yap and the Outer Islands of Yap, The Northern Marianas and more.  These virtually undived reefs are in pristine condition and represent a once-in-a-lifetime diving experience.
